As it turns out, the issue was incompatible network classes
(computers, router - Class A, MN-700 Class C - by default). Once I
temporarily changed the IP for one of the computers (to be
compatible), I was able to access the Base Management Tool (thus
allowing me to change the IP, along w/disabling the Internet
configuration, etc).
