MN-700 slowdown over time?

After reading some of the posts in this newsgroup, I feel
pretty fortunate that my MN-700 works at all.

The problem I'm having is that the MN-700 slows down over
time. Sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes a week.
Prior to "upgrading" to the MN700, I was able to get
2mbps consistently to Giganews. Now I can barely sustain
300kbps.

I'm also having slowdowns on my internal clients.

A reset of the router seems to take care of the problem
for a random amount of time.

Anyone else experience this?

(In all fairness, I also had this problem with my Dell
TrueMobile router, and is the reason I "upgraded". Wish
I'd bought the Linksys...)

Since this happened before you got the MN700, it's probably something local
to your system.

Check your computers for viruses. With some of the more recent viruses,
your computer's bandwidth might be utilized to further infect other people.

Also check to see that your computer isn't infested with spyware.
See here for information about detecting and cleaning your computer of this
crud.

Running Norton 2003, AdAware, etc. No problems there.

Have also reinstalled one of the machines. If there was
something, it's gone now.
