MN-700 on separate subnet

I have a MN-700 broadband wireless router. I want to
enable Routing on my 2003 server box, so that I have the
mn-700 in one subnet and my client PCs on another subnet.
After wiring it appropriately and enabling routing and
remote access, I can't ping the mn-700 from the other
subnet, however, I CAN ping workstations from one subnet
to another. Is there some limitation on this in SOHO
devices. Firewall is not the problem, any suggestions?
