Hello,

I am running a wireless G network with one wireless
desktop card and a wireless laptop card (both Microsoft).
I had absolutely no problems until I installed SP2 on
both computers. I upgraded the firmware on the router and
the software for both cards and that didn't help at all.
I get kicked off the network at random times now and the
activity light on the router and my cable modem are
constantly flashing, even when the computers are off. I
made sure 802.1x authentication was disabled and have
even moved the router to get a stronger signal on both
computers but it hasn't helped. When it works, it works
well but I can't stay on my network long enough to do
anything productive... surf the net or sharing files
between computers. What can I do to fix this problem?? I
am using WEP security. Should I restore the router back
to factory settings, run the firmware update again and go
to WPA? Not sure how to change to WPA or even if it would
help.

Thanks!

I take it your not using a Microsoft base station, well
then you are on your own, this is a Microsoft broadband
forum.
