Norton doesn't stop when disabled. It needs to be uninstalled.
The alternative is to install the router manually. Use IE
and go to 192.168.2.1. Configure the WAN page to get
Internet access. Set the PC to obtain an IP from the
server. Once this works, setup the Wireless and
Security/Wireless pages for the wireless. Then setup the
wireless laptop wifi card.
Finally to get both PC's to network together (if you want
to), set the same workgroup name on both PC's, and turn off
software firewalls on the PC's.
