I have a broadband internet connection that comes into my
main pc with a coax cable and a pci card. I have the mn-
700 router and two other computers that i am trying to
get networked. I don't know how to go about getting it
all to work. When i enable the nic card that goes to the
number 1 slot on the router the internet's pci card
doesnt work, i think i have to do something with the ip
addresses. In the setup wizard for the router, i set it
up so that it knows it is connected to an ics host. The
router recognized the interent connection, but it only
last about five min. because the main internet stops
working. Everything works great when i disable the cisco
card (which is the pci card that the internet uses).
Please help me figure out how to get the interent to work
on my network. There has got to be a way to do this,
please help, This is driving me crazy. Thank you very
much, Drew

Hi,

You'll have to turn off your ICS.

Then your best bet is to disconnect all your network cables and then follow
the setup instructions that comes with your MN-700.

The MN-700 Wireless Base Station will be the device that shares your
internet connection to your computer and to any other computers that you
have. You won't need your main pc to run the Internet Connection Sharing
anymore. Once you disable your ICS, connect a ethernet cable from your cable
modem to the "To Modem" port on the MN-700.
And connect a ethernet cable from any one of your Port 1 through 4 to your
computer's network card. Then follow the setup wizard to complete the
installation.
