From my readings here, there seem to be many people in
this boat with me: two systems, wireless G, one system
can access the other, but there is no two-way access.
(My XP desktop can access all features of my XP laptop,
but the laptop cannot access the desktop at all.) That
laptop DOES HAVE internet access and even printer access
through the desktop.

So far I have tried, in no order (again from readings
here):
1.) Making sure my firewall is not activated.
2.) Changing the names and passwords of both machines to
match each other.
3.) Changing the Workgroup name to something different.
4.) Changing my desktop and laptop names to something new.
5.) Updated my MN-700 firmware and software from MS site.
6.) Pinged the whole network to find holes and the system
is sound. All pings good.
7.) Used NET USE to create a new drive on my laptop that
can access a drive on my desktop, but to me that's a
temporary solution to a flawed system.

What am I missing? Why can I see my laptop in Network
Places on the desktop, yet the laptop has nothing under
Network Places. And what is truly odd is that this is a
reoccuring problem for quite a few people here.

I too am having this problem and tech support was
absolutly NO help. All they could seem to do was re-do
everything I have already done. (trying to get me
connected to the internet, which I had no problem doing)
I guess at least I'm not the only one haveing this
problem. It's just so frustrating! If you are able to fix
this problem I would be interested to know how! thanx
