Hi

I have a MN 700 Router and a MN 730 NIC.

I have tried everything to get a good signal but all i
can get is low or very low.

The only way i can get a full signal is if i put the
router within a foot the the PC. The further i go the
lower the signal. Right now i have the PC about 5 foot
away from the router and i am only getting a (very low)
signal.

And if i put the PC in another room, forget about it.

I have moved both the router and the PC all over the
house. I have even gone as far as to move it to another
house, but i get the same thing.

I have tried a different NIC and updated everything.

Is there anything else i should try or should i assume
the router is broken and send it back for warranty?

Hi,

Are there any 2.4GHz devices in your house such as other wireless 2.4GHz
cordless phones or wireless video transceiver/receivers?

Is your microwave running when you're disconnected as that interferes with
your wireless connection as well.

Try changing your wireless channel and experiment to see if you still get
disconnects.
To do this log into your Base Station with your Internet browser and point
it to http://192.168.2.1
Then log in with the password, and then click on the Wireless link on the
left. You'll see the wireless channel drop down menu there.

Hi,

No there are no 2.5 GHz devices in the house and no other
networks or anything that would cause interference.

The microwave isn't running. I am having this problem all
the time. The signal never gets any better, unless i put
the PC and router side by side.

I've changed the channel but it didn't make a difference.

Changed just about everything i can think of.

Any more help would be great.

Thanks

Hi again

No there are no 2.5 GHz devices in the house.
The microwave isn't running either. The problem i am
having is not something that comes and goes, i can never
get a good single unless i place the router right beside
the PC.

I have changed the channel and just about every other
setting i thought might be causing this kind of problem.

Any additional help would be great

Thanks
