I have fully config'd my upgraded MN-700 from a MN-500.
As recommended I change the admin password on the router.
Once I have finished the config, everything works except
that I can't get into the Admin tool again without
resetting back to factory defaults--the following message
appears:

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
[code=GATEWAY_TIMEOUT] A gateway timeout occurred. The
server is unreachable. Retry the request.

Using XP home, firmware and software on the router are up
to date, using a cable modem past the router, XP firewall
is turned off as per directions.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thx
Dominic from the great white north.

I assume you are using IE as your browser

Goto Control Panel, Internet Options
Then the Connections tab
Then hit the Lan settings button.

Clear ALL the check marks from there.

That should fix your issue.

Did that fix your issue? I assume it did, but if you don't mind confirming
it, others would be able to find out.

If it didn't work, also let us know so we can dig deeper.

Thanks
