I'm trying to install an mn-700 wireless router for a
second time. It was removed after a second pc died.

Now I try to reinstall and it insists that I have a
firewall installed. I did but I uninstalled it but to no
avail. The only thing different between this and the last
install is Windows SP2. I've been told it has a firewall.
If this is true, how do I blow it up... errr... shut it off
so I can install the router?

Not that you need any software at all for the MN700

but if you are going to use it.. make sure you get the latest version from
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...DLoadMain.mspx

The latest version has been updated to work with Windows XP SP2 (and its
firewall).

The settings are actually stored inside the MN-700. Don't reconfigure
it as it will kick you off of the Internet.
