MN-700 - HP 7000

I have a new MN-700 that I am trying to set up with a HP
7000 laptop. As with Chris H. everything for the desktop
to the cable modem to the Internet works fine. The
Network troubleshooter on the laptop says the network is
running fine. However I cannot see any shared device or
the Internet from the laptop. The user's guide on top of
page 30 might imply that we are run the Broadband Network
Utility on all computers that you want on our network. Is
this interpretation correct, i.e. we run Broadband Network
Utility on every computer?
