MN-700 firmware upgrade

I want to upgrade my firmware from 2.0.8.333 to the newest version
contained in MSBNDownload.exe 2.2.0.731, but I prefer to avoid a
driverupgrade of my mn-720 adapter (remembering a report on signal
degrade by driver 3.60.7.0). Can this be accomplished from a desktop
machine without the msbn utility installed (and with a wired LAN
connection)? Any known issues?
Sven

That should work without any problems (I never had the MSBNU installed, but
always upgraded the firmware via the MSBNDownload file).

Quieting. Would you recommend a reset to default before upgrade? Many
thanks again. Sven

It shouldn't be necessary.
I'd recommend backing up the settings though, so you can be sure it is
retained, if you do need to reset to factory defaults.

Well if you install the update on a wired only computer like you are
supposed to the driver won't change for the MN-720 because that computer
doesn't even have one.

Please do not contact me directly or ask me to contact you directly for
assistance.

If your question is worth asking, it's worth posting.

If it’s not worth posting you should have done a search on
http://www.google.com/ http://www.google.com/grphp?hl=en&tab=wg&q= or
http://news.google.com/froogle?hl=en&tab=nf&ned=us&q= before wasting our
time.

If I sound hostile or arrogant you need to read the following before
posting a question "How To Ask Questions The Smart Way" at
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html (The site I've linked
to just has this article I think people should read before posting a
technical question.)
