I have 3 pcs set up with the MN-700 - all run Windows XP
Professional.

1 PC is connected via a Microsoft g wireless PCI card
The other 2 connect directly into the base station via
ethernet.

After a few hours interent use while conected, the
internet connection is lost and I need to pull the plug on
the base station and turn it on again.

My windows is up to date with updates as is the firmware
and microsoft broadband software and drivers.

Is this a common fault with the MN-700?

Did you disable the 802.1x authentication (properties of
your network connection on each XP machine)?

Also, consider changing the "channel" to be 10 away from
the other nearest competing wireless network.

Just a couple of things I have tried in my troubleshooting
that improved things.

I'm having the same problem but with win98SE. How can I
disable 802.1 x authentication on win98? Thanks.

If you have the MS Broadband utility installed on all of your
computers, uninstall it on all but one of your computers.
This worked for me. Havent had a problem in two weeks with
lost/dropped internet connection.
I left it on my main computer where the cable modem and router are.
I never turn that computer on anymore since getting my laptop.
