Are you using WPA or WEP? If the former, make sure you're not using 802.1x
authentication on the notebook. Also, you might check in Network
Connections to make sure nothing is bridged in there. How much lease time
is set on the base station? You may try bumping that up to two weeks, if
you haven't already.

I have a similar problem, though with my 720 notebook
card in a Toshiba Satellite. My cable connection seems to
be flawless AFAIK.
The notebook wireless connection is great when it works.
Unfortunately at random times (many times within an hour)
the wireless network icon in the task tray pops up a
balloon saying one or more wireless network connections
are available and that I can connect to one.
My two neighbors have WiFi routers, too, and they seem to
interfere with my MN720's abilities to stay connected.
Changing channels and other settings seems to have
absolutely no effect whatsoever.
This is *really* annoying.
Yes, all the drivers and firmware are as up to date as
Microsoft would have them.
