No offense, but that's not an answer, if we want to power
down the router, why we cannot? Just for save the power
purpose.
Anyhow, the answer is you might want to power up the
cable modem first, then power up the MN700. The designer
of the MN700 never thought cable modem needs time to sync
and hense it fails to get a ip from cable modem when both
powered up the same time.
The alternative is to renew the ip from the MN700 admin
page after the cable modem is powered up.
Good luck.
