Open the email configuration (on Outlook is
Tools|Options). Look at the incoming (POP3) and outgoing
(SMTP) server names. Make sure the SMTP server name is
fully specified (i.e. don't use just mail, but something
like mail.myISP.com).
If this is the first time you are using the email, you
may also want to check the email security for SMTP on the
same dialog -- you need to ask the ISP what they are
using.
