does anyone know if the antennae is detachable? I'd like
to replace it with a high-gain.

No, it isn't. There are actually two on/in the Microsoft products, one
external and one internal to balance the signal. If you can, you might use
a true Access Point (Microsoft doesn't make one) to extend or expand your
coverage area.

It is not possible on Microsoft's base stations because they use a external
and internal setup for balance of the signal. If you need to extend your
coverage area, I'd get a true access point.

That really brings me down hearing that. What about a
repeater? Are any compatible with the MN-700 that you
know of?
