MN-700 and UPnP support, what do I need to do?

I'm a little confused by the UPnP situation and was
wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

I recently purchased an MN-700 and want to be able to
take full advantage of its UPnP capabilities. I run
Windows XP, and the Universal Plug and Play feature
listed under networking services from the Add/Remove
programs part of control panel is not installed.

Will I have to install this service for UPnP applications
to communicate with the router, or is installing that
service to my computer not necessary?

You have to install UPnP from the network services option in add/remove
programs (under Windows). And then you have to go in and enable the service
to start up automatically by going into control panel, choosing
adminstrative tools and then choosing Services. Look for the universal plug
and play service, double click on it, and make sure it's set to
automatically start.
