Ok I port forwarded 3389 No Problems there.
Setup--- Firewalls all off...
Getting out to the Net... Not an issue...

But when I RDP from my work system to my home system, it
just times out. Before I put in the MN-700 I had no
problems connecting my home system.
My question is, does MAC filtering also apply to
conections coming directly from the internet in repect to
RDP or other port directed applications. I do have mac
filtering on. (I thought this only applied to local
wireless cards)..
Or is it somthing else im missing...

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

MAC filtering does not apply to incoming connections, but
only to wired and/or wireless LAN PCs (depending how you
set it up)

Typically you just need a port forwarding. Make sure you
are using the IP of your network to access the server
from work (and not the PC IP which usually starts by
192.168.2...). The appropriate IP shows on the home page
of the router (it should look like the IP you used before
installing the router).

Also if you are using dynamic IPs for the PC/server with
RDP, use an app-triggered port-forwarding. Persistent
port-forwarding only works if have manually assigned a
static IP to the PC and appropriately removed it from the
DHCP range.

Ok I am doing every thing you sugest. I have for the
moment only a sigle box behind the 700, I am using the
external network IP to access the network not the
internal network IP. It worked before. No changes to my
system.

However I only selected the ports 3389 and did not place
3389 after the IP of the internal box (I.E.
192.168.2.2:3389) is this my issue, Or is just selecting
the port 3389 and TCP enough in the configuration program.

I just stuck my laptop on the internal network and RDP
works fine from inside. Inside to inside no problem.
Inside to outside even using a cisco VPN 3000 client is
fine going out. Just getting in seems to be the issue.

Help any ideas????

Thanks
