MN 700 & Linksys Powerline bridge

Hi all,

I have a network with two computers connected to the base
station. I would like to add a Linksys Powerline network
bridge so I can connect a computer that is only
accessible by a powerline. The Linksys product setup
guide says I need regular CAT-5 cable to connect if my
Microsoft base station has an uplink port or else I need
a crossover cable to connect to a regular LAN port on my
base station.

I do not have a crossover cable right now and so was
hoping you could tell me if one of the four ports on my
Microsoft base station is considered an uplink port? If
not i will have to drive 50 miles tomorrow to get a
crossover cable.

Only the WAN port is an uplink port.

it will probably work with regular CAT5. I've got some Netgear XE102's
here and they connect to everything with straight through CAT5.
