I could use a bit of help configuring the MN-700 to work with Kazaa Lite
Resurrection.

I was using this combination successfully until recently when I upgraded to
SP2 and then downloaded the newest update for the router. I believe my
problem is with the router as loading the update wiped out the port
forwarding settings I was using. At least I believe that's what went
wrong... I had a heck of a time setting up the MN-700 with Kazaa when I
first purchased it months ago and am now having a similar problem but thus
far I have been unable to correct it.

Compared to the Linksys router I used to use, this Microsoft router
certainly is a pain to configure... I think every time I purchase a
Microsoft hardware product I tend to regret it soon after...

Uninstalled SP2 and it works great.

I've been reading about a lot of problems with SP2 and various Microsoft
wireless routers. Amazing!!!

It's not that surprising really. Microsoft is really
switching it's focus from compatability to security
because everyone was complaining about the holes in the
system. The fact is you can't have it both ways.
Microsoft's broadband hardware comes with security turned
on by default, and SP2 also has the improved windows
firewall enabled. To my knowledge Linksys is
only "easier" to use because their is no security enabled
when you get it.

Yes your right, to a degree... I understand what SP2 was all about and I
disabled the features, such as the firewall, but the router still would not
allow transfers until I removed SP2. Security is one thing but not being
able to share files among computers behind the router is another. What's
the point of networking if you can't network. I guess the security is good
though... one better would be to just disconnect the cable??? That will
probably be SP3... disconnect every external port to the computer and you
will have no security issues, right?
