I have a MN-700 access point I have set up on my office
network. I only need it as an access point and have set
it up that way. It says that you must give it a name and
that after you set it up as an access point only you
cannot get to it by its IP Address anymore, but only by
the name you gave it. I cannot figure out how to get to
it by its name. I'm sure I am just missing something
easy. Any ideas?

Did you try just typing the name of the device in the
address line of the Internet Explorer application?

Also, perhaps you should name it something without any
spaces in the name.

I named it Band
When I type that in the address line of IE it just does a
search of the web for Band

Check the DHCP page on your router to see what ip address it assigned to the
MN-700 then access it that way.

When you set the MN-700 to Access Point only mode you can
no longer reach it by its IP address.

Correct---sort of.

You can no longer access it by it's default address however when it is
plugged into a router it is assigned an ip address that "is" accessible. In
my case it was the third device on my Linksys router and was assigned an ip
address of 192.168.1.103

So how do you find out what ip address it was assigned?
