I recently had the same problem and sent an email request
to Microsoft. They had the following suggestions - which
worked for me:
1)Check the firmware
2)Ensure you have nothing interfering - phones, micorwave
ovens etc.
3)Change the channel setting - with channel 1,3,6,9 and
11 being the preferred. This is what fixed it for me,
moving from channel 6 to 1.
