Hi,
I have a 11Mbps wireless MS router and what I am
planning on doing is purchasing a hugely better wired
router (for work purposes) and just using the MS Router
as wireless access point. Now, according the the
instructions that once you put the router into bridging
mode you won't be able to get into the management
console. My question is, if it is bridge mode and you
can't get access to the console, can you still configure
your wireless security settings? Thanks.

The manual is wrong. Read the following link for more information about
configuring the MN-500 as an access point & still being able to access
the BSMT.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...gnet.mspx#EEAA

Here is a quote from her page "Important: If you follow the procedures
I've listed below instead of the procedures documented in the MN-500
User Guide, you will not lose the ability to administer the MN-500. This
will give you the ability to change the SSID, channel, and encryption
key if needed without performing a factory reset of the base station and
starting from scratch."
