Hi. My internet service went down after the hurricanes.
Got back on, but my base station - MN 500 - was not
working. I'm running XP SP2. Finally got the base station
programmed, but now can't get the wireless adapter to
work. Gets to the point of searching for wireless
networks, but then says "the wireless security (WEP) is
not valid for the selected network. To connect to an
available network, click OK and enter the settings
required". I re-enter the security key, same thing
happens. Also, the icon in the tray says limited or no
connectivity. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

I had much the same problem. It took me about 4 tries to get it to work and
even then I kept losing connectivity. It's been stable for several hours
today so far.

All I can suggest is to set up your wireless connection using Windows XP
Wireless Setup Wizard...don't use the Microsoft Broadband Utility software.

Good luck.

This is something that has happened to me and a lotta others just
recently. I have found other people straying onto my network. I can see
them..but cant see their Hard drive to find out who they are. I can tell
by the dif wkgrp names, so I have given mine a very "nasty" wkgrp name.
F__kYou. Maybe Ill get a responce or else they will stay the hell off of
my network. I think they are installing dif security settings, dif wep's
or something. Today I have everything working! But its not yer 520, is
the wireless light flashing on and off? Thats some kind of interference.
