Antique laptop with no documentation = NEC Ready 340T.
SYStem hangs on boot at Win log on screen with the 520
installed. When I install the 520 after successful boot,
the system hangs after a few seconds. No SW firewall or
AV installed. Base is Linksys. OS up to date. Broadband
Networking proggie up to date. Wired ethernet thru USB to
Ethernet adapter ok.
Installed, both the power and wireless lights are steady
on. I have no idea of the pedigree of the Comps PCMCIA,
driver installed is from 98SE disk. Properties calls
it "02 Micro OZ6832/6833 Cardbus Controller" (of which
there are qty 2 showing in the Network Adapters?).
520 install wizard says 32 bit cardbus required, help file
says at least 2.1 is required, I am clueless as to the
diffs anyway. Nor do I know how to discern the associated
pedigree of this unsupported laptop.
Any ideas or suggestions, please?
