Help -

I have 2 laptops using wireless.
1 gigafast card
1 microsoft mn520 card

SMC router - latest firmware.

My gigafast has no problem connecting to on either laptop
using standard 64 bit wep encryption.

My mn520 cannot connect on either laptop using WEP. It
sees the wireless network - but keep's stating it's the
incorrect key. I can only connect when i disable wep. I
know i am typing the correct key.

THanks in advance.

Make sure you selected a 64 bit key -- by default MS
hardware uses 128 bits

I tried both 64 and 128, does not want to work with wep on.

Hi,

Try changing the channel number to either 1 or 11 from 6
in the Base station management tool.
