MN-510 problems on Windows ME

I am trying to connect to my MS wireless network on a
laptop using the MN-510. I haven't had trouble before
using this adapter on other machines but now I can't
connect. I can see the network and if I do
a "ipconfig /renew" it will get a new ip address from the
DHCP with no problem but if I turn around and try and ping
the DHCP (192.168.2.1) I get no reply. From another
machine Iif log onto the basestation and it reports that
the laptop is connected (received a ip address and it
shows the MAC address for the MN-510). The SSID and the
security keys match but still no connectivity.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this a Windows ME thing?
