Yes, there are updates to the broadband utility through
this web site. First, update the base station and get new
settings. Getting the second pc onto the network took me
over a week, but these are the steps I had to follow.
Have you installed the latest update driver for the base
station since you installed SP 2? If not, do that first.
Then, uninstall SP 2 from your second pc and restart, and
uninstall the adapter from the second pc and restart.
Then, reinstall the wireless adapter, using the updated
wireless network configuration wizard you'll have and
restart. You should still be connected to your network
after your restart. After you are connected to your
network, install SP2 again and restart. After you install
SP 2, you will lose your network connection. Within the
broadband utility on the second pc, run the set up wizard
again and put your WEP in again at that point. It took me
about a week to figure all this out, but tonight I am
finally connected to my network on both computers and SP
2 with firewalls turned on is successfully installed.
Even though the broadband network says we don't need
additional firewalls, what could it hurt? Good luck and
be patient. It's great when it's working correctly.
