MN-510 Adapter setup, Cd-rom kicks out during install

A friend is trying to set up a USB adapter on his win 98
machine. During the hardware detection process the install
CD kicks out of the drive and the install program locks
up. Any clues? , bad CD disk?

Go to microsoft.com, search for the MN-510 drivers, and
download them. See if they install. If they do, ask for a
replacement CD.

That is a known issue. I take it you are running Windows 98 SE then.

The point of the installation that this issue occurs is far enough into
the install that the software is actually installed.
