Hi Ron, Granted... the MN-510 is an older USB-Wireless adapter. It may be
geared to run on USB 1.0 rather than the USB 2.0 standards of the new
HP-Vista unit you just got. However, it should run at the normal speed level
for which it was designed.... even under Vista.
Here's a link to the Tech-Specs for the device. The Installation
Instructions are of "Most-Importance" (since Vista tends to want to
"Automatically" install). I would try the Initial "Manual" Install first.
for a connection. If you can't connect via wireless after the install,
connect the unit using a Cat5 (or equivalent) Cable directly to the router so
that you can get the "Updated" Driver (if any) and try again. If that still
doesn't work, I would suggest getting a newer Wireless Antenna device for the
unit. I've always had Excellent responses with "D-Link" Wireless devices and
they don't cost you a fortune! (I use their Wireless Router 110Mbps, Cable
Modem 110Mbps, and have 2 other Desktop Units running G-Mode @ 54Mbps as well
as 2 HP-NoteBooks running N-Mode Wireless through the same router! All Run
Great
