MN-500 w/ Cable Modem

My MN-500 is connected to a cable modem. The "data" LED
sometimes glows steady green and I can no longer access
the internet. When I disconnect the MN-500 from the
cable modem and plug the modem directly into the PC
ethernet port, it works fine. I see numerous entries in
the log file about IP spoofing and client access
blocked. Any ideas how to stop this? It renders the MN-
500 useless.

Check your computers for viruses. With some of the more recent viruses,
your computer's bandwidth might be utilized to further infect other people.

Also check to see that your computers aren't infested with spyware.
See here for information about detecting and cleaning your computer of this
crud.

No viruses. McAfee is running the latest update. I had
some non-malicious spywre on my PC but I removed it about
3 weeks ago using Spysweeper.

I just did a unintstall/reinstall of the softwre and
MN500 base station. So far so good...

I read in an earlier post that someone used a static IP
address instead of DHCP from the ISP. I did this too and
so far so good...

Any other ideas are appreciated as was your virus/spyware
suggestion.

I'm sure you have the same problem as me. The DHCP Server
on the base station stops assigning addresses. When you
reboot the base station all is well. I bet the thing is
running some variation of Windows...
