MN-500 suddenly stopped transmitting

I've been using my MN-500 for 2+ years and love it. Friday night I was
surfing the web, but Saturday there was no available wireless network.
Absolutely nothing changed overnight. My desktop, router and cable modem are
all on a UPS and nothing rebooted or had any problems.
I've rebooted, soft reset, and hard reset the MN-500. Every time it boots
with no problem, but none of my wirless computers even see an available
network. I've also tried changing the wirless channel, but no joy.

Is it possible the transmitter simply died?
Does anybody know of a way to test to see if it is transmitting anything?
RF meter, cordless phone etc.?
Thanks,
Fran

I have the same issue, started last night, but the day before everything was
fine.

Well, we need to give props t6o QY. THANK YOU!!, MS is also sending me a new
one. funny thing, they never asked how old the unit was, when or where it was
purchased, they just went down a list of diags (boring, been there, done
that) and finally decided to replace it, they also said they do not want the
old one back. OK so I leave it connected to the next work and use it as
router/hub. Once again THANKS QY.

Thanks to both Qy and Rickiac for the heads up. I too have had similar
problems and Rickiac just notified me of this solution. Microsoft confirmed
what I reported (even if it did take about 90 minutes on a phone call), and
they are sending me a new router also. Thanks guys and sorry that we never
really get to know what the problem was (aside from knowing the router was
not transmitting), but good to know we can be up and running again in a short
time at no additional personal expense. Thanks Microsoft for the Nordstrom
level of service.
