When I pull up the MS Broadband Network Utility,
under "Connection speed" it reads "-2040.-7 Mbps" instead
of the usual "400". Does anyone know what that is and how
to fix it? Thanks.

It gets that data from the configuration on your network
card. You can get to it from Control
Panel/System/Devices. Select the Network card and check
the options. One of them should be spped. It should be
set to auto-sense (or if there was problem to 100Mbps).
