If you reset using the reset hole, it is the right
behavior. If you just unpower it, then the unit is
probably defective.
Regarding the connection, it might be the modem. Power
recycle the modem. Turn off the modem for 3mn, then turn
it back on. Try this also when the connection will be
lost next time.
Another possibility is that you signed up for Internet
access using the computer and the ISP recorded yoir
computer MAC address, which does not match the router
MAC. You can clone the computer MAC address into the
router.
Also, when the connection is lost next time and before
resetting the MN500, check the router logs for messages.
It should list attempts to reconnect. Let us know what
you get.
