MN-500 loses connection

With a notebook hardwired to the MN-500, the connection is dropped very
often [especially after coming out of standby] and the only way to get it
back is to shut off the computer, unplug the cable, and power up. The
wireless connection will always work.

I hope there is a simple solution.
