Ah, I figured this one out. I just used the MS software until it wont
program the base.
at that point, Opened up my Internet Connections TCP properties &
changed the IP settings to 'automatically obtain an IP address' then
went to the msbs address of
http://192.168.2.1 with netscape & set the
properties (ip address, dns) there of my ISP. Didn't have to use a
proxy after all & kept my ISP firewall active.
I learned this from using a netgear router.
But I still think that the MS BS should have a manual IP & DNS
address.
