I purcahsed a new computer and I am trying to configure my
MN-500 Basestation again and can not get past the hookup
of the router.

It keeps telling me that I have either a firewall turned
on, or antivirus software running. I have disconnected
all of the firewall options, turned off (even deleted) the
antivirus software and still get the error message that I
need to turn one of them or both off.

I am running XP Home Edition - which I know does not have
the ICS option available, so I can not turn that off which
is another option that Microsoft is telling me to try.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!!

You do not have to use the BSMT to configure the
basestation. Go to this in IE to logon.

Correction.
The base station has an address.
It is http://192.168.2.1/login.htm
Enter the address in the Internet Explorer address bar to
go to the login page. You do not have to have or use the
Broadband Network Utility, the program that shows your
network in the blue window.

below I said the BSMT which is incorrect

I had the same problem. How I solved it was I just loaded
the drivers and the Broadband Network Utility. Then open
the Network Utility and click on Tools and selected the
set up from there. At that point the installation went
smoothly.
