Hello!

Is the MN-500 Netmeeting "compliant"? Meaning, will video / audio work?

Are there any additional settings / parameters / features available that are
not in the web based management util? If so how does one go about accessing
these?

Thanks,
-Giles

NetMeeting is an odd duck, Giles. It isn't compliant with current
standards, but you can dig out some information here:
http://www.meetingbywire.com/ As for "hidden" items on the MN-500,
basically what you see is what you get, but you might be interested in the

The MN 100, MN 500 and MN 700 do not have a built in H.323 proxy ( as some
other routers do ) and thus will not support directly two way NetMeeting
audio/video out of the box( I assume this is what you mean by being
Netmeeting "compliant").

Use of the dmz feature will allow one station to have full audio/video
function ( and also allow the dmz client to field incoming calls made
directly to the wan IP of the router). Use of the dmz feature should be
accompanied with use of a (configured for NetMeeitng use) software firewall
on dmz machine.

Suggestion for Netmeeting-use MSN Messenger for now until the MN-500 support
comes out.

It isn't that support on Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware is going
to be forthcoming. The issue is NetMeeting is an old program and hasn't
(nor will) be updated.
