MN-500 FTP

I recently purchased a Buffalo Linkstation Network Drive
with FTP capabilities. When I key in the IP address for
the drive and open ports 20-21, I cannot save. My MN-500
freezes and I have to reboot. Any ideas? I am able to
connect to the drive via ftp within my LAN.
