MN-500 firewall problem

I currently have a Cable modem connected to a MN-500
wireless router. I have no problem getting an internet
connection to my desktop. The problem lies with my laptop
from work. I get an internet connection with my laptop but
when I use the company installed VPN1 Securemote software
to tunnel into our company server is where I have a
problem. When I am using a hotel High Speed internet
connection it works fine, when I connect directly to the
modem it works fine, the problem is when I connect to the
MN-500 router is where the problem lies. Again I have no
problem getting the internet to come up but I cannot get
the VPN1 software to work. Any suggestion???
