is there a flaw in the firmware and ppoe now? the router
resets alot on its own

what firmware is in the 500? Have you applied the latest available
upgrade? Can you define "alot" and can you post a copy of the log file
from the mn500?

If you are receiving a PADT when the Internet stops working it is your
ISP killing the Internet connection. If that is the case then browse to
http://192.168.2.1 then go to the "Wide Area Network" page put a check
in "Auto-reconnect" & set the "Maximum idle time" to something like 600.

it works perfectly before the firmware upgrade for this
problem... had others taht are now fixed but i have this
prob now lol

this is pushing to go back to enterprise routers never a
prob like this

Have you powered the unit off for a minute or so and then restarted it? If
not, try that.

yes i have, it seems to reboot itself.... i have a
giganic (intel's one that can do 1gbps up and down
hooked up to it) i don't think its the giganic because it
wasn't giving me probs with the router before though when
i upgraded this firmware it gave me problems
