MN-500 desktop not recognized on network

My wireless network was originally installed under WIN-
98. I upgraded to XP and now the network does not
recognize the hard-wired desktop. I reset the hardware,
downloaded the upgrade to broadband utility and re-
installed to base station and wireless laptop, re-verified
SSID/Workgroup name/computer name. Wireless laptop sees
itself in workgroup but not base station. Desktop does
not recognize the laptop nor itself - "My network places"
is totally blank. Laptop cannot see the printer. All
hard-wired and wireless internet connections work well.

Can someone please help me??
