Hi guys,

For some reason I am unable to access alot of internet
programs (MSN Messenger, AIM, Hello!, ICQ)that I had
access to before. The only program that seems to be
working is Yahoo. When I try to log onto Hello! I
get "networked error occured [0x0000274c]." And when I
try to log onto MSN Messenger I get an "8002.." or
something type of error.

In addition, I am unable to access some webpages such as
the results from Google, Downloads from MSN website
(www.msn.com is not showing correctly as well, the images
and backgrounds will not load) etc. I am currently
running Windows XP Professional SP1 on both networked
computers, and having this problem with both the wired and
wireless computer. I have had the MN-500 router for two
years and have only started experiencing this problem now.

When I look at the Base Station Log I seem to get:

2004/12/10 14:13:22 Connection attempt to base station
from WAN blocked -- src:<207.161.35.240:3903>
dst:<207.161.40.154:135>
2004/12/10 14:13:42 Connection attempt to base station
from WAN blocked -- src:<207.161.33.40:3836>
dst:<207.161.40.154:445>
2004/12/10 14:13:45 Connection attempt to base station
from WAN blocked -- src:<207.161.33.40:3836>
dst:<207.161.40.154:445>
2004/12/10 14:13:48 Connection attempt to base station
from WAN blocked -- src:<207.161.35.240:2894>
dst:<207.161.40.154:135>
2004/12/10 14:13:51 Connection attempt to base station
from WAN blocked -- src:<207.161.35.240:2894>
dst:<207.161.40.154:135>
.... over and over again. Or something similar to:

2003/02/17 18:27:20 UPnP AddPortMapping:
ExternalPort:1234, TCP, InternalPort:4321,
InternalClient:192.168.2.100

.... followed with a:

2003/02/17 18:28:09 UPnP DeletePortMapping:
ExternalPort:1234, TCP

Is there something wrong with my router? I did not change
any settings, and as I have mentioned, it had been working
fine for the past two years. Is there a potential virus
or spyware residing on my network? Please advice..

I also forgot to mention that connecting directly to my
broadband modem and not the router seems to 'open up'
these programs for me. Therefore, I KNOW that it is a
problem with the router.
