I am trying to install an MN-500 Wireless Base station on
my home computer. My broadband cable modem is USB and not
Ethernet. I also do not have a wireless network card in
my computer to attach the basestation that way.

Is there an adapter for my modem that I can get so that I
don't have to buy a wireless adapter for my computer to
set base station up??? HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance!
Beth

All MS router products support ethernet connections to the modem only. They
will not support USB.

If you can somehow exchange your modem for one that has ethernet
connections, you ought to do it in a heartbeat.

Ethernet is a much more reliable connection method now and going forward.

The point is, you aren't connecting your USB dsl modem directly into the
MN500.

No, My point is, Since she does not have an Ethernet modem, she DOES have
another option beside trying to get another modem, my way is free, getting
another modem probably won't be...
