I've done items 1 thru 5. I gave it an IP address of
192.168.2.50. It was at that point I could finally see
other machines on my local network. The bridge now shows
up on the MN-700 Base station. I'm refering to the status
dialog box with the pretty pictures showing you if you're
hooked up to the network and/or the internet. The list of
resources now shows the computers I have turned on and the
Bridge. It knows it's a bridge because it shows up with a
different icon.
So, the MN-700 recognizes the MN-500 as a bridge, my PC
that goes through the MN-500 can see all the other
computers on my local internet, but it can't get access to
the internet. I've cycled power on the MN-500 a few
times. I haven't cycled the MN-700. I figured I didn't
need to since it's recognizing the MN-500.
Do I need to disable the firewall in the MN-500 or is it
automatically disabled once it's a bridge?
Is cloning the Mac address required?
I selected a different channel, but I'm not yet trying the
wirelss part of it yet. I'm still trying to get it to
work over wires.
