MN-500 base won't recognize modem.

My wireless has worked fine for months. But now the MN-500 base station
won't recognize the modem. I've reset everything, the modem works find when
I bypass the base. I can't access management tool 'cause the base won't
connect. The light signifying 'modem' is off. Why won't the base recognize
the modem anymore? I hadn't changed anything.
