I have looked through the other posts in this newsgroup about the Base
Management Tools being grayed out and tried to ping 192.168.2.1 and open the
address 192.168.2.1 in my browser. Both methods have been unsuccessful. I
did not remove MSBN utility because I could not ping 192.168.2.1. The unit
is working properly however I simply wanted to give the WEP key to a guest
staying in my home over the holiday. I am running XP Home SP2.

Will it help to remove the utility program? Any help is appreciated.

Bill

Are you running third-party firewall software on your system?

Are you using http://192.168.2.1? There is certain third-party software,
like some extended functions on ATI graphics drivers, which block access.
If you're running Windows XP, you don't need to have the software front end
for managing your base station.

Chris

Yes that is the address...When entered it searches then displays "This page
cannot be displayed", "Cannot find server or DNS Error". The display
adapter on the Compaq Presario X1000 is a Mobility Radeon 9200. The
configuration is as follows: Access Point modem port goes to a port on the
router, from router to cable modem.

Thanks for the help.

Bill

Then you would need to use whatever IP you gave the access point, Bill.
