Hello.
I am sick and tired from my MN-100. I have one computer
conected to the Internet(Comcast) and anouther is
conected by router to the Host(Linksys Eherfast 100Lan).
I`m installing my Base Station on Host computer
succesfully. Client computer installation is never
finishing, becouse it canno`t detect base station on
anouther computer.
I cheked my network(Linksys) it`s working, but MN100 on
client doesn`t.
People please help, i`m loosing so much of time to fix
that problem...
Thank you ((E-Mail Removed))

The Base Station is really a router. Wouldn't it be
simpler to replace your Linksys with the MN-100, connect
your computers (LAN) to it and plug your Comcast (WAN)
connection into the MN-100 so everybody could use the
Internet independantly.

Just a thought. That's what I did...

Alredy tried... results:... "NEGATIVE"...(Thanks anyway)
-I did tried to do so, but my client computer has ONLY a
linksys ethernet adapter and nothing else...
-I have used this MN-100 for over 6 months, until
something terrible happen (i dont even know what?).
Look what i did first:
-I have my Realtek card on host computer wich conected to
Comcast HighSpeedInternet Router. From this router i had
conected two of mine Linksys adapters: "One host, other
client". My shared Local area connection was working good
until something happen (actualy i just found out: problem
not in base station, problem in Network of Local Areas)
Sound Confusing? I know it does and i was about to hang
my self but... i decided to get rid of my freaking
Linksys probably...
Hey! I am only 16 years old and i got so much of
problems... Networking? COmputer Designment?(Cinema 4D,
Photoshop, Flash MX, Rhinoceros WHY FOR? answer: "for
your future dude, dont work? dont deserve right to
dream!"

Plug the 100 into the cable modem. Connect the computer that is now
connected to the cable modem to one of the ports on the MN100. Clone
the Mac address of that computer into the MN100. Power cycle the cable
modem.

Thank you for reply.
You gave me an exactly same instructions wich is
in "GUIDE" book.
I have tried everething. Today in the morning i come up
with an idea and i reinstalled my Linksys drivers and
seted up everething from the begining.
I come up with results as:
-Linksys drivers are working properly and they receiving
the Normal amount of packets from each other.
-After installing the base station:
a) Host computer installation: "succesfull"
b) Client computer installation: "unsuccesfull"
Client computer canno`t connect to the host computer,
but they see each other on local aeras conections and
Host computer`s workgroup is conected, but clients
workgroup is "not connected", but the local packets are
receiving in normal.
I have tried reinstalling my Base station on client, but
it cannot even finish, becouse it does not detect the
base station and Internet Connection ( yeterday i had
mallfunction of both drivers, but today i reinstalled it
and mallfunction is fixed, but it still canno`t detect
connection)
Any sugestions guys? Would be realy appreciate!

You need to do a manual setup with a single computer and get it connected to
the Internet and confirm you can surf before you try to do anything else. If
you clone the Mac address from the computer that can successfully connect
directly to the cable modem MANUALLY into the base station and follow those
directions, are you able to surf.

If yes, DO NOT RUN THE WIZARD ON THE OTHER COMPUTERS. Plug them in to the
base station. Can they surf or not? Get Internet connectivity first, then
worry about file sharing between the computers.

Don't do anything else and only do the steps above.

I think it is time for you to phone tech support and get them to walk you
through this. you referred to following the instructions in the guide to do
this and now you are asking how to do this.
