Mixed B and G

I have read that most wireless G routers (in mixed mode) severely
degrade in speed if a B client is present.

I am planning on using a B print server on my network. If I connect this
print server via a wired connection to the wireless router, can I assume
that the wireless speed will operate at full G speeds ( and the wireless
mode could be set to G only)?

Thanks,
Harvey

I guess that would be true, as long as the print server supports wired
ethernet and you turn off it's wireless transmitter.

It's my understanding that all "G" equipment, falls back to "B" speeds, if
there is any "B" devices active within the range of your Wi-Fi network.
